"Pugs" have a bad reputation as a fat and lazy breed and many people think that we can only jump on the sofa... It's about time the world see pugs as a healthy and active breed of dogs...

FCI Spanish Championships 2013

Went to Madrid for the FCI Spanish Championships. Pancho did a brilliant job by getting 10 clear agility and jumping to get his place. By the way you need a clear agility and jumping on the same day... not that easy. And to make matters worse we started to compete in FCI in January which left us just 3 months to do it.

At the jumping we finished 6th overall with a very nice clear round. The carpet was very so slippery, Pancho was all over the place in the weave and I didn't take any risks on turns, which made us a little slower than usual.

As for the agility we droped a pole but that has my fault as I was so worried he would slip and I slowed down Pancho too much. The bad weave entrance was also my fault due to a bad line and the contact has been a problem for a few months now.

Over all I'm very happy with our performance despite the bad carpet Pancho did me proud.

A week before the Spanish Championships 2013

We are a week away from the Spanish championships in Madrid and I wanted to have a quick training with Pancho. The course is from an American trial and I really enjoyed running it as well as Pancho :) Enjoy

Wilson and a scary moment

I went to the vet for Wilson because I saw a pink ulcer on his eye lid. Mar our eye specialist took a sample and it was positive for Leishmaniasis. Blood sent to the lab to see if it's a localised infection which can be teated well or a full virus which can be fatal..

After 3 days of waiting the test came back as negative for body infection but the virus was still located inside the ulcer and we have to have 3 treatments to make sure it's gone for good.... In 6 months time we need to have another blodd test to make 100% sure that the virus is not there. http://www.petmd.com/dog/conditions/infectious-parasitic/c_dg_leishmaniasis#.UYPqfspfaDc.
We are not going to let that virus beat us and we are going to keep active and happy.
