"Pugs" have a bad reputation as a fat and lazy breed and many people think that we can only jump on the sofa... It's about time the world see pugs as a healthy and active breed of dogs...
Our agility titles: Balearic champion 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. National champion in 2011 and 2012, finished second due to injury in 2013. Represented Spain at the World Agility Open in 2011, 2012 where we make the penthalon finales each year and in 2014 we were picked as a wild card and once again made the finales of the penthalon 14th overall and biathlon 23rd, I'm so proud of my Pancho for all his hard work....Yes a Pug at the World championships!!! In 2013 we also represented España at EO in Belgium and won 4 rosettes at the International Agility Festival in grade 6 with a 4th, 8th and 9th place and 1st place at the IFCS qualifier at Oxford.
Top 3 on every class at the Jersey Agility festival and made the small final. Pepito and Wilson have won titles too at trials like the Fab Show in Oxford UK in 2013 and team events with Pancho and many podiums at the Jersay agility festival too. I'm so proud of my babies, I really can't ask for more. OUR MOTO "PUGS RULE

We trained on 3 courses and I can tell you it was fast and furious!!! BLIND CROSSES FOLLOWED BY MORE BLIND CROSSES AND MORE KERTSCHKERS!!!
Wilson and Pepito aslo trained abd it was very rewarding especialy for Wilson becasue Asa showed me how to help him more due to his bad eye sight.
Here is our video of the seminar :)

A week later I had to train what I learnt at the seminar and I was happy with the progesses we made here are 2 of our training on the beach.

Training is important for the competitions

I have been unable to train the babies due to my move from Mallorca to Barcelona and I really missed it. I love our training days with my boys and at last I have found a great place to do it... The Beach!!! Now that the tourists are gone we can have accesss to them and they are the best place to do it.

I don't train for long just 5 minuters per dog but it's so important and I have seen the rewards this weekend at our lastest trial with some great runs from Baby Wilson with perfect contacts and great weave. Still a few poles but that will come together in time. Pepito also has improved his weave entrances and did great too with a 2nd place and Wilson 3rd.
Pancho loved his training this week and it has helped us for his runs with some very good courses from Albert Ulldemolins with the technical changes we worked on the beach and finished 2nd in Mini/midi.
This is our video enjoy :)

FCI trial La Daga

We went to Lleida for a trial at a great camping with the flying pugs.
Pancho had a very good run at the agility on saturday with a very unfair 5 points at the long jump. And an elimination at the agility... i can only discribe the action as "lost in translation" lol better next time.
On sunday we ran 2 clear runs in the fastest time and won the class small/medium. Very proud of my baby boy and the most important is the fact that pancho is pretty much where he was a year ago before all his health problems. Love you baby.
Enjoy the video :)

FCI La Salva

This was a great trial for Pepito and Wilson as they were able to compete in a pre agility event with great runs from both babies.

Pancho also ran his classes with some great moments but too many mistakes from my part...

Soon the 2 babies are also going to run FCI trials and my wish is to have a Flying pugs team :)

International Agility Festival England

Again this year we went to England to compete at the International Agility Festival.
First we ran the qualifiers for the International class.
With a clear jumping and a 5 at the dog walk we were 5th overall. We had a good start at the final but unfortunatly due to a bad desicion of my part we were eliminated.
The following days we had some great runs with many placings and i was very happy to see Pancho running faster each time we entered the ring.
I'm so proud of my baby boy and we will be back next year for sure with all the flying pugs in the ring....Enjoy :)

FCI August 2014

The flying pugs are now based in Cataluña and this means a greater number of trials and much easier to get to them.
Those 3 trials are our first since WAO in May and our move from Majorca to Barcelona.
I was very happy with our first few runs and Pancho was getting faster every time.
We still have a few things to sort out like the dog walk but the start line but i guess things never change lol...
Here are our 2 videos with some of our courses, enjoy :)

WAO 2014 Italy

AMAZING!!! Yes Pancho is an AMAZING little dog and I was so proud at the World Agility Open in Italy.
As some of you know Pancho had a terrible time last year with a few medical problems and an intoxication that nearly took him away from me. Thank god he came around and fought his hillness to beat it.
We were selected at a "Wild card" and went there without pressure. We had the Pentathlon, Biathlon and the games to run a total of 9 couses in 3 days.I wasn't sure if Pancho had enough training as far as his speed was concerned, but he did great with an average of 4.2 meters per second... Ok we were 3 seconds slower that last year but the control we had in the ring was our strengh and we made the pentathlon's final on Sunday the top 20 dogs with a lot of very handlers not making it ;)
At the biathlon we finished 25th with 2 poles but again very happy with our runs and Pancho was my luttle soldier outhere :) At the snooker we did ok lol it's not something i train but we did ok...
Here is the video of our runs and a few pictures, enjoy.

Training for WAO 2014 part 1

After getting our wold card ticket for WAO we have to get physically and in tune with eachother in the ring. So we started with a short sequence from a seminar i saw on you tube from ONE MIND, due to the lack of space I had to split the course in 2 :)
The second course on the video is just something I put together to work our turns :)
The next 2 courses were our first long distance work since August 2013, I was very happy with Panpan's runs :)
Great first week and very proud of my black boy for all his efforts :)

World agility open 2014

I'm so proud to announce that Pancho has been selected as a Wild Card for the World Agility Open in Italy in May.
Pancho had to show that he had good results in National and International trials for the last 2 years:
*3 years running Balearic champion in class 30/40cm
*National champion in class 40 in 2011 and due to injury couldn't defend his title in 2013 and finished second.
*A 4th, 8th and 9th place at the agility Festival in the UK in grade 6 in 2013 and 4 more placing in 2012 at 3 UK trials.
*1st place at the IFCS qualifer in Oxford in 2013.
*6th place at the Spanish championships at the jumping in 2013.
So I guess Pancho's results did all the talking and I'm so proud of him. We have now just 2 weeks before the event and we are finishing our preparation.
We are going to enjoy our agility and have a good time after all the sad and stressful moments with Panpan's health in 2013.

Weave and contacts training March 2014

After our latest training of jumpings and tight turns I wanted to move on to the weave and contacts training especially the see saw and dog walk.
With Pancho we are getting back to where we were last August before his injuries and I'm very happy to say that he is doing GREAT!!!
Baby Wilson and Pepito are little stars too and I'm really proud of all of them...

Fun time by the beach

We are not just about training and activities, we also go for great adventures and our mom took us to the beach :)

Training February

I have found some sequences on the web and I made a mix and match to fit our small ring.
And the last sequence is from Ann Croft's agility training and I really envoyed it with a lot of new turn to try.

I'm very proud of my babies they are doing great and Pancho is also having a blast and getting back to shape very fast.

Activity mat

To keep my pugs mentally stimulated, I've just got a new activity mat with lots of hiding places for the treats and you will see on the video they LOVE IT !!

From junk to jumps

I found what some people call rubbish and the idea came to me to turn them into jumps!!
Those half circles are too big so I cut one at 22cm and the second at 32cm.
White glue to water proof the wood
Sanding it down to remove all sharpe edges
 3 coats of paint and......
There you have it 4 jumps for nothing
